A Gita for Every Year
I am writing a book about MK Gandhi’s global celebrity in the twentieth century — and, relatedly, the enduring popularity of the Bhagavad Gita after Gandhi’s provocative anticolonial reinterpretation in the 1920s.
At least one interpretation/translation/retelling of the Gita has been published every year since 1925. Here’s a partial list.
